Tommy Prince was in the Princess Patricia's light infantry, 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion and the famous
Devil's Brigade or 1st Special Service Force.
He was a highly decorated and courageous soldier, fought in WWII and Korea.
This commemorates his life, he passed away in 1977, sadly, in relative obscurity.
He is now celebrated as one of Canada's greatest fighters and hero.
Winnipeg, capital of Manitoba, has historically been one of Canada's more diverse cities.
With a particularly large Métis (mixed white/native) and Native American population complementing it's
Mixture of many European ethnic groups and modern immigrants from all over the world.
It was one of the first major settlements to be founded during the rush to settle the Canadian West.
